15,000 liters of oil for the Food Banks

Borges International Group and its collaborators have donated 15,000 liters of oil to the Food Banks. The oil, along with pulses, milk and cans of preserves, is one of the most demanded staple products. All donated Borges oil bottles have been specially produced for the occasion and have a special label that will identify them as a solidarity product.

The donation was made this morning at the headquarters of the Food Bank Foundation of Barcelona. The event was attended by Mr. Ramon Pont, President of Borges International Group, accompanied by Mr. Frederic Gómez Pardo, President of the Food Bank of the regions of Girona and President of the Catalan Federation of Food Banks, Mr. Eduard Arruga, President of the Food Bank of Barcelona, ​​and Ms. Roser Brutau, Vice President of the same association.

This donation consolidates the relationship and commitment of Borges International Group with the Food Banks, which has already collaborated last year and also in 2010 with a large oil donation and, last 2012, in the online campaign “1 like = 1 kilo” on the occasion of the Great Food Collection.

Over the years, Borges International Group has received different acknowledgments in his task: the 2015 Flexible Company Award granted by the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality, the Atlante Award for Prevention of Labor Risks (2014) or the 2014 FIDEM Awards with the Conciliation Award. Also the Distinctive ‘Equality in the company’ awarded by the Ministry of Health, Social Policy and Equality (2010 and 2011) or the Healthy Work Environment award, in its 1st edition.
