This is the fifth year that Borges International Group participates in the “Great Food Collection, with which it has participated in the years 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2016
This morning Borges International Group has donated 15,000 liters of oil to the Food Banks. The event was held at the headquarters of the Food Bank Foundation of Barcelona and was attended by Mr. Josep Pont Amenós, CEO Pont Family Holding, accompanied by Mrs. Roser Brutau i Basté, President of the Food Bank of Barcelona.
Borges International Group is the fifth year that collaborates with the Food Bank giving oil, a product that, together with pulses, milk and cans of preserves, is one of the most demanded staple products. As in previous years, all donated Borges oil bottles have been specially produced for the occasion and have special labeling that identifies them as a solidarity product.
Borges International Group has thereby consolidated its relationship with (and commitment to) the Food Banks, with which it collaborated in 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
Corporate Social Responsibility
Over the years Borges International Group has received several awards for its social work.
These include the Flexible Company Award 2015 granted by the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality, which recognised its policies of professional and balancing personal and family life; the Atlante Prize for the Prevention of Occupational Risks (2014) and the FIDEM 2014 Awards with the Conciliation Prize. It has also received the Equality in Business Distinction awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Health, Social Policy and Equality (2010 and 2011) for its work on policies of equality between men and women, and the Healthy Working Environment award in its 1st edition.
The company has also joined the Red de empresas por una Sociedad Libre de Violencia de Género (Company Network for a Society free of Gender Violence) initiative, which seeks to build a society free of gender violence.
These are just some of the social responsibility actions that Borges International Group carries out. Every year, the company organises Red Days; these are voluntary blood donation days that the employees of the company participate in, held in Reus and Tàrrega, as well as literary and drawing competitions to celebrate St. George’s Day along with the children of the workers.
