Borges International Group grew by 2% in sales and consolidates a net profit of € 13MM

Borges International Group has consolidated profits of 13 million Euros made last year, while total sales reached 621 million Euros. The improved management, commitment to innovation, commitment to vertical integration in origin (via agricultural plantations), as well as internationalization, are some of the keys to the company results.

Thus, Borges Group International focuses on its strategy, based on quality and added value products such as extra virgin olive oil and its own brands, with the support of its agricultural plantations in California, Extremadura and Granada. Total tonnes sold reached 304.000.

The Group already exports 77% of its sales, experiencing an important growth on new markets like Russia, Brazil, India or China, where the company is making a strong commitment, and where it already has 147 employees working.

The company reached 1,034 workers by the end of the year. This is a 4% more than previous year.

In addition, Borges International Group was awarded the “Alimentos de España” prize to Food Internationalization granted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, in recognition of entrepreneurship, professionalism, the spirit of achievement and perseverance in getting a model of international trading.

Borges International Group has also been recognized for its initiatives on equity in the company with the distinctive “Equality in the Workplace” granted by the Ministry of Health. Other awards received by the group are CCNIEC award for best initiative of the food industry in scientific research, regarding the benefits of nuts and the Mediterranean diet, or its cooperation in the Predimed study.
