Borges Hojiblanca ranks among the world’s five best extra-virgin olive oils

Borges has been certified among the world’s best quality extra virgin olive oils in the prestigious EVOO WORLD RANKING 2017 – World Ranking of Extra Virgin Olive Oils, that hands out the “EVOO of the Year 2017”.

The Hojiblanca variety oil produced at an oil press owned by Borges Agricultural & Industrial Edible Oils, S.A.U. through group company Capricho Andaluz, S.A. has obtained the “EVOO of the year 2017” – “Extra Virgin Olive Oil of the Year” award in the World Ranking of Extra Virgin Olive Oils, after receiving 22 international prizes, 17 of them recognised by EVOO World Ranking.

Borges Agricultural & Industrial Edible Oils, S.A.U. is the vehicle for Borges International Group’s oil businesses. By the end of May 2017, the company had distributed 95 million litres of olive oil in 131 million containers, among others.

During the fiscal year ended May 2017, Borges International Group, turned over €744 million and distributed 348,000 tons, making it a sector leader with 72 per cent of sales originating in international markets and 28 per cent of the national market. It had a high percentage of export sales, supplying 114 countries, six more than in the previous year, particularly through its commercial affiliates in Brazil, California, China, France, India, Italy, New Jersey (USA) and Russia.
